Kevin Rough, General Manager thanked Dame Mary for the award and in his acceptance speech stated:

“Personally I think this is a huge achievement for Daniamant, I have been in manufacturing for 26 years and I believe passionately in UK manufacturing, that we can compete with anyone in the world, even China. This award demonstrates just that, a small company from Portsmouth can innovate and export and be recognised alongside the BAE & the Jaguars of the world. It shows what talent we have here in the South and in the UK and is the key to growing this country’s exports. I am particularly proud of my team here in Portsmouth. They have always worked very hard to design and manufacture new products, one of which now has international recognition. We have received this award on the eve of our 8th Birthday so it shows the progression we have made over this time. Although this is a UK award it is fantastic news for the Daniamant group also in Denmark and shows the commitment from owners to continually invest in innovative products.”
