Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS)

The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2012

These Regulation ban the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.

Manufacturers such as Daniamant need to understand the requirements of the RoHS Directive to ensure that their products, and their components, comply. Although Daniamant products do not fall under the ten categories listed (plus a further four added in 2019) and are therefore exempt we have taken the decision to convert all our products to be RoHS compliant where possible as part of our commitment toward the Environment.
