Daniamant continue to closely monitor developments with respect to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We have been taking steps to ensure the safety and wellness of our employees including business travel restrictions, reviewing business continuity plans and evaluating the need and attendance at group meetings or the necessity for those coming to our locations in the UK and Denmark.

Questions and Answers:

  1. Which Daniamant manufacturing sites are impacted at this time?

Daniamant does not have any manufacturing sites in restricted countries. Both UK and Danish manufacturing sites remain fully operational at this time.

  1. What products are at risk?

Both our UK and Danish sites are in full production at this time, so limited risk at this time. The issue we continue to face is the slowdown for logistics as a result of slowdown at shipping ports and airports. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update Customers who may be affected.

  1. Do you have any impact from your suppliers to produce materials?

Our procurement team has been actively engaged with our key raw material suppliers to understand any impact. Inventories were built up prior to the Chinese New Year and at this stage we do not foresee any shortage on our main finished goods and continue production for our customers. We continue to work closely to ensure our suppliers can meet our needs to keep our manufacturing processes running.

  1. What issues are you seeing with shipments around the world at this time?

Like many other companies exporting globally, we are facing logistics and shipping challenges as shipping ports, airports and flights have been constrained. While it is more difficult to confirm available logistics and delivery dates at this time, we believe our global distribution and logistics capabilities will keep us well positioned to work through these challenges. We realize this situation remains very dynamic, as information continues to change day-to-day, and we will continue to provide you with updates as we learn more and confirm logistics and delivery dates.

  1. Are Daniamant shipments from areas impacted by COVID-19 safe to receive at our facilities? Have they been fumigated, or other protective measures been implemented to contain the spread of the virus?

No guidance has been given by the World Health Organization that fumigation or any other pro-active measures need to be taken in the handling and shipment of materials at this time.

  1. What impacts do you expect as a result of the rapid spread of the virus now being seen in Italy and other areas of the world?

We do not see any impact to our business or shipments at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation daily and will stay closely aligned with our customers in these areas.

  1. When can customers expect to know more about any potential impacts?

Our sales team are very engaged with customers and are working to identify any potential impacts as we work through this together. Our sales teams are working with customers daily to assess the situation and potential slowdown in shipping and delivery.  We intend to inform Customers via social media and directly if the situation changes.

  1. What restrictions has Daniamant implemented to keep its employees safe and healthy?

Daniamant continues to monitor the evolving situation daily and is taking steps to ensure the safety and wellness of our employees. This includes extending business travel restrictions to the Category 1 and Category 2 countries (as per appropriate government websites).

We have given instruction to our staff about the ease with which this virus can be transmitted and that they should therefore be aware of their surroundings. Signage has been displayed at numerous points within our sites giving information. Hygiene products, masks and gloves are readily available on our sites for use by visitors and our staff. Our cleaning regime has been increased to ensure door handles, light switches and other frequently touched surfaces are wiped daily.

Should symptoms such as fever, high temperature, coughing or shortness of breath begin then immediate self-isolation instructions guidelines have been published and discussed with all employees.

  1. What is your plan if several of your employees on site are ill and cannot work?

Preparations are in place for specific employees to work from home if the situation required such action. Daniamant will follow Government guidelines if a confirmed coronavirus case is reported within Daniamant.

We would like to reassure all of our customers and suppliers that we are taking this matter very seriously, continuity of supply and the health of our staff is uppermost in our priorities.
