Daniamant’s FLS 3D – 30 Degree Forward Looking Sonar Nominated for Two Seawork Awards

Daniamant are proud to announce that the innovative FLS 3D – 30 Degree Forward Looking Sonar has been shortlisted for this year’s Seawork Innovations Award

June 04, 2025, Frederik Jervin Graves

FLS 3D – 30 Degree Forward Looking Sonar has been shortlisted for two prestigious categories:

🔹 Marine Equipment & Electronics
🔹 Subsea and Underwater Intervention

The FLS 3D – 30° represents a major leap in sonar technology, offering real-time 3D visualization of the seabed ahead. With its industry-leading 20:1 depth-to-range ratio, advanced Average Forward Depth feature, and seamless integration with Raymarine Axiom display systems, it gives captains unprecedented situational awareness — even in uncharted or hazardous waters.

Unlike traditional depth sounders that only show what’s directly below the vessel, the FLS 3D allows vessels to see up to 200 meters ahead, in a 30° horizontal and 90° vertical scan—all from a single, compact transducer. Its plug-and-play HDMI/VGA output makes it compatible with a wide range of onboard displays, opening access to high-end sonar performance across both commercial and leisure vessels.

The double nomination recognizes Daniamant’s ongoing commitment to innovation and safety in the marine industry. As the Seawork Awards celebrate excellence in maritime engineering and product development, we’re honored to see the FLS 3D – 30 Degree among the standout technologies of 2025.

Winners will be announced during the Seawork Exhibition, and we look forward to sharing this milestone with the industry.

The FLS 3D – 30 Degree is in full mass production and available from stock now.
